Volunteers offer to help after ‘DIY SOS’ appeal
A Biddulph woman has praised the local community for offering to decorate her home after contractors kept her and her disabled son waiting for months to move in.
A team of volunteers has offered free DIY services to Naomi Alcock and her three-year-old son, Isaiah, once they are finally given the green light.
The Chronicle reported last month how Ms Alcock was given a disabled facilities grant from Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Your Housing to make her Lawton Street home more accessible for Isaiah by installing ramps, a lift, a hoist and widening the doors.
