SAS Daniels helps Antala open in UK

Local law firm SAS Daniels has helped a Spanish firm acquire new UK premises.
Speciality chemicals business Antala, based in Barcelona, has bought 17,000sqft of new premises as part of its expansion in the UK and Ireland.
SAS Daniels advised on the purchase of the two large units, based at Oakden Drive in Denton, Tameside.
The multi-million-pound deal will allow Antala to store and supply higher volumes of speciality chemicals for the automotive, commercial transportation (bus, truck and rail), wind, aerospace, marine and general industries.
Victor Argudo, Antala’s CEO for the UK and Ireland, said: “It’s an exciting new phase for Antala. Not only are we expanding and transforming our operational capabilities, our new premises will also include house testing laboratories and offices; allowing us to extend our technical support in house as well as in field at client sites.”
Antala, which has existing UK premises in Bredbury, expects the fit out of the new units to be completed within four months.
Steven Percy, partner in the commercial property team at SAS Daniels, said: “We’ve worked with Antala for the last six years and advised on a variety of commercial property deals, as well as commercial and employment matters. Due to consistent growth, the need to invest in bigger premises became an absolute priority.
“It’s encouraging to see a Spanish firm choosing the North West as its UK base and investing in the region following our exit from the EU. We look forward to supporting Antala’s future growth and acquisitions.”
SAS Daniels has offices in Congleton, Macclesfield, Chester and Stockport.
