10 years of Cheshire East – a mixed bag
A chat with members of the public revealed feelings of both goodwill and disdain towards Cheshire East Council, on the 10th anniversary of the council being established.
Monday marked a decade since Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester councils were formed, and shoppers in Congleton were open with their feelings towards the scandal-hit Cheshire East authority.
The Tory-run council was formed out of Congleton, Macclesfield and Crewe and Nantwich borough councils, and includes the functions of the former Cheshire County Council.
