Burglars condemned after cash stolen from Vale Club
Thieves caused thous-ands of pounds in damage after a break in at Congleton’s Vale Club.
The incident is believed to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday when a small quantity of cash was stolen.
No arrests have been made.
Police said offenders forced entry into the Canal Street premises by smashing a window.
External cameras will now be installed to beef up security.
Club member and former councillor, Paul Bates, said he was “disappointed” by the break in, given its value to the community.
