Call to scrap council’s crisis helpine charges
Calls to access Cheshire East’s crisis help line should be free of charge councillors have claimed.
At last Tuesday’s Alsager Town Council meeting of Planning, Environment and Community Committee, following correspondence from a member of the public, councillors were asked to give their response to Cheshire East Council about phone charges when ringing the authority.
A resident has requested that the 0300 number that is used for the crisis help line when calling the council should become an 0800 number.
