Cancer centre plans are supported by MP

A local MP has backed plans for a new £23m cancer centre, capable of treating 1,500 people a year, which is planned for Macclesfield.
The world-famous Christie has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art cancer centre in Macclesfield District General Hospital’s grounds, and the news has been welcomed by MP David Rutley, who recently met the team leading the fundraising project to give it his support and to welcome the development, “as a strong vote of confidence” in the future of Macclesfield District General Hospital.
