Charity shop is newest bid to save Ruby’s Fund
Congleton charity Ruby’s Fund has announced plans to open a charity shop in town, as part of its bid to save its premises on Roe Street.
At the end of July, the charity was given six weeks to “make a commitment” to finding more than £250,000 to purchase Meridian House, on Roe Street, the building in which the charity operates its sensory centre.
Now, founder Alison Parr has said she expects to have a charity shop up and running on Lawton Street within a month, having picked up the keys earlier in the week. It is hoped the new venture will go some way towards raising the money needed for the commitment their landlord is looking for.
