Church ‘deliberately sabotaged’ allegation
A former town centre church was “deliberately sabotaged”, it has been claimed, so that it would be eligible for demolition.
This, along with other allegations, were written in a letter sent to North Rode Timber, the company behind the demolition of Kinsey Street Methodist Church that began three weeks ago.
It comes as Cheshire East Council said the owners have been asked to protect and keep safe features of historic interest within the building including plaques and stone parapets.
