Controversy over Astbury motorhomes stopover site
The owner of a caravan storage site that has irked parish councillors has now been forced to apply for planning permission.
Congleton business Wincham Leisure has created a motorhome stopover site at Weldhouse Farm on Peel Lane, Astbury (next to the railway bridge) allowing people to try motorhomes before they buy, and incorporating a storage area. Planning permission was not needed because it was an official site.
However, Astbury Parish Council has discussed the Astbury site a number of times.
