Councillors propose to transform public transport in Congleton
Town councillors are planning to band together to “reshape” transport in Congleton to ensure it is sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The Chronicle spoke with Couns Suzie Akers Smith and Kay Wesley, who have brought up the issue of sustainable transport regularly at Congleton Town Council meetings and are leading this initiative.
Coun Wesley, who was elected for the Women’s Equality Party in May, hopes that individual councillors can come together to coordinate what can be done to achieve their common goals.
