Cricket club chair has added ‘feminine touch’
Congleton Cricket Club has made history by appointing its first female chair of the club, a first in the Cheshire cricket league.
Grace-Elisabeth Evans, (39), of Mossley, officially took up the role at the beginning of the season in April, having carried out its duties for the last year.
On how she became involved with the club and ultimately its leader, Ms Evans said: “My boyfriend, Kev Bromley has been involved with the club for 30 years and he’s been chairman of the club as a whole, not just the cricket section.
