Deadline looming to apply to run council
The deadline is looming for applicants to put their name forward for the role of chief executive of Cheshire East Council — more than two years since the previous incumbent was suspended.
The council is still accepting applications for the role, which can be submitted until the 30th September.
Former chief executive Mike Suarez resigned from the post more than a year ago, after having been suspended for 15 months while an investigation into his conduct took place.
The salary bracket for the chief executive is between £156,075 and £166,075, according to Cheshire East’s pay policy statement for 2019-20.
