Developer given ‘ultimatum’ over park footbridge

Legal action could be taken against a developer for failing to follow through on its commitment to build a bridge across the river Dane in Congleton.
Coun Suzie Akers Smith said that the authority’s enforcement officer had been in touch with Morris Homes, which was due to build a footbridge connecting its Astbury Place housing develop-
ment with Congleton Park. 
According to Coun Akers Smith, a representative of the developer confirmed to her that a letter of a “legal nature” had been received.
