Donations are sought for cenotaph refurbishment
People are being asked to donate money to help with the refurbishment of Congleton’s cenotaph.
After years in the planning, work should soon start on renovating the memorial on Lawton Street, so it can display the names of all the local men and women who lost their lives while serving their country.
The majority of funds needed for the project have already been raised through grants and pledges, but “more is required to do justice to the site”, Congleton Town Council has said.
