Ex-Tory councillors quit party as Boris is in No 10

Two former long-standing Conservative councillors in Congleton said they have quit the party in response to Boris Johnson’s election as prime minister.
Bob Edwards, the former leader of the town council, and Larry Barker, who was one of his Tory colleagues at the town hall, both labelled Mr Johnson  “unstable”.
