Exhibition about preparing team parish for 21st century
A public exhibition is being held to explain the changes to the churches in Congleton.
Congleton Team Parish, which was formed in 1998 around four churches — St Peter’s and St Stephen’s in the town centre, St John’s, Buglawton and Holy Trinity, Mossley — is preparing itself for the 21st century for centralising worship and “de-parishing” three of the churches.
The plan is to centralise services around St Peter’s and stop holding regular worship at St Stephen’s, St John’s and Holy Trinity.
