Extension would dominate neighbouring properties
Planning proposals for a house extension in Congleton have been opposed by neighbours, who have said it would impose an “oppressive feeling” on them.
The applicant, a Mr R Hipkiss, has proposed the extension of an existing garage at ground-floor level, at 135, Ennerdale to form a utility room and hallway, as well as an extension on top of the garage to form a master bedroom and bathroom.
A neighbour gave a presentation to councillors during Thursday’s meeting of Congleton Town Council’s Planning Committee, expressing his opposition to the extension.
