Gooseberry guru’s wife confesses to hating the fruit

Local gardener Kelvin Archer has made his TV debut showing off his world famous gooseberries, and intends to keep showing them at summer shows, even though the demands mean he is unable to go on holiday. 
He appeared on BBC Two’s Gardeners’ World on Friday evening, when he talked to the show’s presenter, Monty Don, about his passion for growing gooseberries and his world record achievement.
