Jodrell Bank fails to make list of ‘unmissable’ sights
The Lonely Planet Guide has defended its decision to leave out Jodrell Bank from a list of “unmissable” sights in the North West.
Enjoying a football match in Manchester and the Beatles’ childhood homes were named among the UK’s top experiences by Lonely Planet, which ranked the “500 most unmissable sights, experiences and hidden gems” across Great Britain, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands for the first time “in the ultimate UK travel hitlist”.
Nineteen sights and experiences across North West England were on the list — but no Jodrell Bank.
