Just the right time for playground’s opening
A community playground in Mow Cop has had a £44,000 makeover — just in time for the summer holidays.
The refurbishment of the 25-year-old play area was prompted by Odd Rode Parish Councillor, Marion Cooke, who is also on the board of governor at nearby school, Woodcock’s Well Primary School.
Most of the funding came from charity not-for-profit business Wren, with £4,840 from Odd Rode Parish Council.
