Labour says ‘truth will come out’ after council chief quit
The leader of the local Labour Party has stated that he will “campaign until the truth comes out” following the announcement that Cheshire East Council will not release details about an investigation into its chief officer.
Mike Suarez resigned on 9th July amid an investigation into his conduct. He had been suspended by the council on full pay since last April.
His resignation came the day before a two-day disciplinary hearing by the Investigation and Disciplinary Committee (IDC) into allegations relating to Mr Suarez was due to take place.
