Liquorice hoping for 2nd chance

A cat who was almost adopted but then it fell through is the subject of this week’s appeal from the RSPCA.
Liquorice is a young adult black domestic short-haired male.
An RSCPA volunteer told the Chronicle: “We should have called this boy Lucky because he got hit by a car and survived with no injuries! The road this incident took place on is notorious for fatal road traffic accidents involving cats.
“Thankfully the lady driver stopped and took him to the local vet where he stayed for seven days unclaimed.”
He was described as “delicious” by a vet nurse hence the name Liquorice.
He has been tested for FIV/FELV, microchipped, neutered and started vaccinations. He is a healthy boy and very friendly and sweet.
He is currently in private boarding facilities. For further information or if interested in adopting call 01625 669620 or email rehoming@rspca-macclesfield.org.uk
