Local elections dominate year ahead for councillors
Councillors have revealed their hopes for 2019, a crucial election year for those sitting on Cheshire East Council.
The authority has been Conservative controlled going back to the days of the former Congleton Borough Council before 2009, when the unitary authority was formed.
Cheshire East’s Tory administration has come in for criticism on many fronts, not least the delay to producing a local plan, which lead to speculative applications for housing developments.
