Major diesel leak forces A34 closure
A stretch of the A34 through Congleton is expected to reopen tonight (Thursday) after being closed on Tuesday following a major diesel leak.
Commuters found themselves trapped in gridlock after a HGV spilled around 250 litres of diesel on Tuesday morning.
Parents feared children would not be able to get to school for their GCSE exams due to the road closures that followed.
