Makers Market might not be welcome

The Makers Market could be asked to stop trading in Congleton, after shops reported a fall in takings on market days.
A decision is expected to be made tonight (Thursday) on whether the town council will continue to support the market, when stalls stretch along the town centre’s pedestrianised area on the last Saturday of each month, or withdraw its support and ask the Makers Market to stop trading in Congleton from November.
