‘Mediocre’ houses would make roads dangerous
A proposal to erect four “dangerous and mediocre” houses on the site of Congleton’s former “iconic and spacious” bungalow have been recommended for refusal by town councillors.
Pegasus, the town’s 1960s so-called butterfly bungalow, stood on the corner of Delamere Drive and Holmes Chapel Road until it was demolished in 2018. The butterfly roof design was originally built to provide good-quality acoustics for the pianist who lived in the building.
