Minor injuries unit campaign gains support
Momentum is growing in the campaign to secure the future of the minor injuries unit (MIU) at Congleton War Memorial Hospital.
A petition signed by more than 4,000 supporters was presented to Cheshire East Council last Tuesday and an open letter from Congleton Town Council called on support from Cheshire East and Cheshire East NHS Trust “so this vital service continues to be provided in Congleton.”
The petition was handed in to the council’s Health and Well-being Board meeting by Congleton Labour Party member, Richard Walton, who also read out an open letter.
