Missing cobbles at Swan Bank to be relaid soon
Cobblestones that were laid just months ago as part of Congleton’s public realm strategy — at a cost of thousands of pounds — have become loose and have been replaced with black tarmac as a temporary measure.
The pale grey cobblestones at the top of Swan Bank were part of an effort to regenerate the town centre.
They came out over the weekend, leaving deep gouges in the paved area.
