Newlyweds give wedding donations to The Christie
A husband and wife have given donations from their wedding day to The Christie at Macclesfield appeal after they were both diagnosed with cancer.
Keith Oldham, (59) and his wife Andrea, (46), of Congleton, raised more than £2,760 for the appeal, which aims to fund a centre in east Cheshire so that people do not have to make the journey to south Manchester for their cancer treatment, a trip Mr Oldham made every weekday for five weeks so he could receive radiotherapy.
Mrs Oldham will also have to travel to The Christie after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
