Parking fees to rise across the borough
Cheshire East Council is to consult on proposals to increase parking charges across the borough from March 2019 – only weeks before the May local elections. It is also ending free parking at a Congleton car park.
The council said the proposals aimed to ensure that the income generated from car parks “made the best use of the council-owned assets”, and thus benefited the taxpayers of Cheshire East.
