Petition calls for planning agreements ‘transparency’

A new petition calling for greater transparency surrounding agreements drawn up between councils and developers has gathered more than 100 signatures.
Richard Walton the branch secretary of Congleton Labour Party, who stood unsuccessfully for a town council seat in May’s local elections, has launched the petition having claimed that building work is on the increase in the town, without the required infrastructure.
