Petition launched after museum move bid fails
A petition has been launched to overturn Cheshire East Council’s decision to stop Congleton Museum moving to Bradshaw House.
The application, and a rival application from the Electric Picture House, were both rejected in favour of selling the historic Grade II-listed building commercially.
Nick Sharman, who launched the petition, currently lives in Astbury, but he has previously lived in Congleton, and both he and his wife regularly visit the town to shop, and visit the museum.
