Poet helps care home residents get creative
Residents of a local care home took a walk down memory lane when poet John Lindley came in to read poetry with them.
Clayton Manor Care Home on Rood Hill welcomed the former poet laureate for Cheshire on Tuesday as a way of getting residents’ creative juices flowing.
The workshop started with Mr Lindley reading out some of his own poems and a number of classics, including The Lion and Albert and its sequel, The Return of Albert, both by Marriott Edgar.
