Pounding pavements to support pal battling MND
A group of university pals — some of whom hadn’t seen each other in 17 years — came together to take on a half marathon challenge in honour of their friend who is battling motor neurone disease.
The team of 16 took part in the Loughborough Half Marathon and raised £11,000 to support the charity’s work.
They were inspired to pound the pavements by their friend Michael Lowe, who is battling MND at the age of just 38.
