Pub change of use plan pulled
Plans to turn the Queen’s Head, on Park Lane, Congleton, into an assisted living premises for people with learning difficulties have been withdrawn.
It is unclear why Surrey-based Regard Group pulled its application yesterday (Wednesday).
Hundreds of objections had been lodged against the plan as it would mean the loss of a community pub.
Campaigners from Congleton East Ward Community Conservation Group has been working to save the Queen’s Head, by applying to turn it into an asset of community value.
