Renewed appeal for info after ‘distressing’ attacks

Police have stepped up their hunt for a catapulter firing ball-bearings at OAPs’ windows, who has now stepped up their attacks .
Police officers have renewed their appeal for information following a recent spate of attacks on properties in Elworth, Wheelock, Sandbach, Brereton and Holmes Chapel.
Local PCSO Sue Holt said the “mindless vandals” had been targeting properties, mainly belonging to elderly people, between 11pm and 6am.
She added: “These incidents are not only costly but, more importantly, very distressing to those who have been victim to it, many of whom are elderly.
“I would urge anyone with information to contact us so that we can find the person or people responsible for this mindless vandalism.”
Originally targetting homes in Sandbach - areas targeted were Middlewich Road, Abbey Road and Elworth Road, in Sandbach - similar incidents have been reported in Wheelock, Brereton and Holmes Chapel.
