Renewed calls to reopen recycling centre at Arclid
Fresh calls have been made to reopen a recycling centre in Arclid, after the change in political make-up at Cheshire East Council following May’s local elections.
Residents at a Brereton Parish Council meeting urged Coun John Wray, who is the ward councillor for Arclid and a number of the surrounding parishes, to request that the authority considered reopening the site.
The Arclid recycling site, which was on Davenport Lane, closed in September 2017 as a result of a consultation and Cabinet meeting despite resistance from residents and local councillors.
