River rescue man airlifted to hospital

A man was airlifted to hospital with a serious leg injury  after he fell into the river Dane in Congleton on Sunday.
The incident happened at Shaw Brook, off Fern Crescent, at around 1.30pm.
One fire engine attended from Congleton.
Firefighters assisted paramedics in helping the man to safety. He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
