Roadside cut-outs could make the school run safer
Cut-out images of children could appear on the roadside near school run hotspots to prevent youngsters from being seriously injured or worse.
Safer Parking at the School Gates is a joint project by Cheshire East Council, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and Cheshire Police and aims to tackle “illegal, irresponsible and inconsiderate parking near schools”.
Roads near schools in Alderley Edge and Wilmslow have already been targeted and the initiative will continue when schools reopen in September.
