Rugby club defending more criticism of plans
Officials from Congleton Rugby Club have continued to fight claims from residents that its proposed move would cause “nightmares” for people living near Back Lane, one dubbing the club a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.
Since the club submitted its planning application to develop the area near Back Lane village green, known locally as “playing fields”, last month Cheshire East has registered more than 20 objections, some from the same addresses. The majority of the complaints come from people living on Chestnut Drive and Longdown Road.
