Runners enjoy Alsager 5m on a crisp and clear day
More than 1,000 runners took part in the Alsager 5 - mile run on Sunday.
Regular race runners and newcomers packed onto the starting line on Pikemere Road on a crisp and sunny winter morning.
One group was reported to have run from Stone to compete in the race!
It is seen as a curtain- raiser to the running season, and the flat course is ideal for those who want to see how much they have benefited from winter training.
