Tatton Show silver for bloomers
Congleton in Bloom won a silver medal at RHS Tatton.
In February, Patti Pinto was asked to create a “blooming border” for this year’s show, held recently
The challenge was to build a set of gardens created by communities and small businesses, co-designed by Anna Morrison.
Working together, the pair came up with a theme — Congleton in Bloom celebrates 20 years — and plant list. Mrs Morrison produced a plan drawing of the border, which Mrs Pinto submitted to the RHS.
In April the two were told the design had been accepted and set about buying plug plants from a local nursery, DJM Nurseries, and Cosmos seeds.
