Tree that trapped ‘floating sewage’ on river removed
A tree that had fallen across the River Dane in Congleton, which caused a build up of “floating sewage, has finally been removed.
The tree is believed to have fallen across the stretch near the bowling green in Congleton Park during high winds last winter.
Since then debris floating downstream including a football and take-away packaging had collected behind the obstruction.
