Trust generated a surplus despite high school deficit
The multi-academy trust that operates one of Congleton’s secondary schools generated a surplus in the year of £119,000, its annual report has shown — though the high school is still carrying a deficit.
Congleton Multi-Academy Trust operates Congleton High School, as well as Black Firs and Castle primary schools. It has a combined capacity of 1,534 pupils and had a roll of 1,611 in the schools’ census in autumn 2018.
