Vinyl is a chart-topper at popular record fair

“It’s something tactile,” said John Beddows among the hundreds of vinyl LPs for sale on his stall. “The sound is different as well but primarily it’s something you can cherish and look after.”
Such is the reason why vinyl has made such a resurgence over recent years to the point that sales are expected to overtake CDs in 2019 for the first time since the mid-1980s.
It also explained the hustle and bustle in Sandbach Market Hall on Sunday when the bi-monthly record fair took place.
