£650k public realm plan to regenerate high street appeal
A working group in Sandbach is pressing ahead with a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to develop a public realm scheme in the town centre that would improve the high street.
The scheme includes new paving and road surfacing as well as new seating, street lighting and greenery. It is based in the area between the cobbled square and the town hall and would “make the high street more user-friendly and more in keeping with the conservation area”.
