80 Xmas dinners distributed to the elderly and vulnerable
A team of kind-hearted volunteers gave their time on Christmas Eve to cook and distribute Christmas dinners to the elderly and vulnerable in Sandbach.
The operation was organised by Andy Milner, who runs catering firm Symphony Catering
At Sandbach Rugby Union Football Club on Bradwall Road, Mr Milner cooked 80 portions of turkey, stuffing, vegetables and roast potatoes, plus Christmas puddings, before they were packed up and delivered by volunteers, which included Pam Davenport from the rugby club.
There was also help from the town council, with Coun David Jack organising the recipients and town mayor Mike Muldoon helping to plate up the meals.
