A ‘disgrace’ – the councillors who ignore meetings
The fact that a council meeting had to be called off because 75% of councillors did not attend is a “disgrace”, according to a resident.
Last Tuesday’s Assets and Services Committee meeting was called off after only three councillors attended, making them one short of being quorate. It was the second meeting in as many weeks to be called off after the planning committee was also left inquorate.
Cathy Bruderer, one of the four residents who had attended the meeting, said the fact that they were short of councillors was “very disappointing”.
