Butcher’s apprentice makes mincemeat of the male competition
A young apprentice from Elworth has smashed stereotypes by becoming the first woman in the country to be given the highest possible mark in butchery.
Lucy Rowlinson, (20), from Elworth, was also crowned food apprentice of the year by Reaseheath College in Nantwich as well as being one of four students in the college to be nominated for apprentice of the year.
Miss Rowlinson, who attended the ceremony with her mother, stepfather and boyfriend, gave a speech to the audience.
