Cost of clearing ‘two inches’ of pigeon poo
Almost £5,000 could be spent to deal with “over two inches” of pigeon excrement next to Sandbach Town Hall.
A space between the building and the market hall next door has become a haven for the birds.
The funding was considered at meeting of the town council’s Assets and Services Committee last Tuesday, which was told the money would also be used to “pigeon-proof” the area where the birds gather.
Council clerk Ann Banks said: “The last time I went there was about 20 pigeons roosting. It’s not a particularly pleasant place.
